NANCY MARRIOTT, DREAM TO PUBLISH AUTHOR

NANCY MARRIOTT

Nancy Marriott is an editor, author and writing coach, assisting authors to write popular books on the leading edge of health, science, spirituality and personal/professional development. Her first project was with Dr. Candace Pert to ghost the best-selling Molecules of Emotion, published by Scribners in 1997, which established the mind-body connection in mainstream medicine and informed the film, What the Bleep.

Clients of Nancy’s include Marci Shimoff, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Dean Ornish, Sara Miller McCune, and Dr. Richard Moss. Her expertise is in helping professionals turn their ideas and manuscripts into commercially viable books, but she also helps authors prepare their manuscripts for self-publication, both fiction and non-fiction, and as marketing tools.

In 2006, Nancy wrote Everything You Need to Know to Feel Go(o)d, co-authored with Dr. Pert and published by Hay House. She went on to edit two more Hay House books (Lisa Williams’ The Survival of the Soul and Sarah McLean’s Soul-Centered: Transform Your Life in Eight Weeks Through Meditation), becoming a preferred editor for Hay House authors. She also co-hosted an internet radio show, Finding Magic in Midlife, for a year and a half, fulfilling her commitment to empower women by interviewing women authors.

Nancy holds an MA degree from Columbia University and a BA from the University of Massachusetts. She lives in Santa Barbara, California with her husband Richard and teaches English as a Second Language at Santa Barbara City College and at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
