Ada Conner is currently the Capital Campaign Director for the Greater Santa Barbara Ice Skating Association’s “Ice in Paradise Campaign” to bring an ice skating rink to the Santa Barbara area. She moved to Santa Barbara in 1987 and became a supervisor with the City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department in Senior Programs. In 1995 she left the position to raise her two young daughters and become a Parks and Recreation Commissioner. During that time she served on many boards and committees including officiating as President of the Oaks Parent-Child Workshop Board, Chair of the Peabody Charter School Site Council, Board President of the Public Education Foundation and has also served on several Foundations, Boards and Committees at the local, state and national level.

She recently retired as a City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Commissioner after over fifteen of service. In her career as a Director in the non-profit field, she has worked as Executive Director of Santa Barbara Special Olympics, Director of Programs for ARC, Director of Development for Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic and Fundraising Consultant for Collaborative Communities Foundation.

She has two daughters attending college on the east coast. Her loves are her children, travel, swimming, flying, photography, seeking enlightenment and inspiring greatness.

She currently lives in Santa Barbara, California and continues to dedicate her time to fundraising in the non-profit sector.
